your dog's home away from home

Reno & Sparks, Nevada

Overnight Boarding

Your dog stays in my home, line one of my own!

Overnight dog boarding is a great alternative to the traditional kenneling of your dog while you are away. They'll be able to run, play and lounge around, my home just as though they lived here. They get full time access to a human, as I work from home. This ensures they are supervised and attended to without the need for keeping them in a kennel or crate during their stay. They'll have plenty of access to the outside and run of the house. Lots of belly rubs and playtime in a safe and secure environment with me and my own dogs.

I have experience with senior dogs and dogs with special needs. Just let me know what their requirements are and I'll do my best to accommodate them.

Meet Shaun - Dog lover for hire

A life-long friend of canine-kind, Shaun has been taking care of dogs since he was able; starting with his first puppy, Patches. He loves dogs and opens his home to other dog-lovers needing a safe place to board their pet that lets them run and play and otherwise be a dog. He has over a decade of experience watching other people's dogs and began offering his services professionally in July of 2015. He works from home so your dog will have access to human companionship the entire duration of their stay with plenty of petting and belly rubs.

How it Works

Contact me via email at shaun -at- redball.dog or via phone at 775-800-4121.

We'll schedule a Meet & Greet to introduce ourselves and get your dog(s) aquainted with my own. I typically conduct these in my home so you can see the environment your dogs will be in and address any questions or concerns you may have ahead of the stay.

Once you're comfortable with the arrangements and we're certain the dogs will be a good fit we'll book the stay. Bookings are handled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please plan ahead, especially around holidays, to ensure availability for your trip.

I recognize that visitors from out of town may not be able to do a Meet & Greet ahead of time. If this is your situation, please contact me anyway and we can discuss. I'm usually able to accomodate them and happy to make your Reno visit possible.

What to bring for your dog's stay:

In addition to your dog, the following are required for each overnight stay:

• Dog leash and harness (if applicable)
• Dog food (enough for the entire stay; though we recommend a little extra in case your travel encounters any delays).  Food and water bowls are provided.

Additional items you may wish to include:

• Dog bed or blanket
• Favorite toy
• Favorite treats
• Kennel (if kennel trained, for sleeping)
• Anything you feel will make your dog more comfortable and at ease
